“I was born in 1981 in Çandır district of Yozgat. I am married and a mother of two children. I live in Mersin. I am a preschool teacher and have been working in this field for 20 years.
I started photography professionally in 2014 by taking Basic Training at Mersin Olba Photography Association. However, due to my workload and the young age of my children, I could not continue after basic education.
I started actively taking photographs again by participating in the Street Photography workshops opened by Mersin Photography Association in 2021 and the Shadow Light and Silhouette workshops opened in 2022.
I can say that I have been losing myself in the streets by taking photographs intensively for 3 years.
In my opinion,streets are places where I can freely express my feelings and thoughts, catch the rhythm of life, and try to witness moments from a different perspective. Also, I can say that taking photographs is just like, telling the woman, about the woman’s stuckness in life, about every moment when she restricts herself in society, about the depth of her inner world that she cannot reflect, also the place where I find myself as the woman, in this loss while getting lost in the world of thoughts.”
