He has collaborated with a vast array of state, national, and international media outlets such as Agence France-Presse, Associated Press, Proceso, Notimex, and El Universal newspaper.

His two recent solo exhibitions in 2019 at the National Photo Library SINAFO with “Memory and Gaze,” and in 2021 at the CFMAB with “Revealing Time,” have been complemented by participation in multiple group exhibitions in Mexico, Cuba, and the United States.

Reyes was part of the Luz 96 collective in Oaxaca, which, in dialogue with master Francisco Toledo, achieved the creation of the Manuel Álvarez Bravo Photographic Center nearly 25 years ago.

He has been a student of Mariana Yampolsky, Estanislao Ortiz, Raghu Rai, Daniel Mendoza, Julio Galindo, Mary Ellen Mark, Graciela Iturbide, Cristina García Rodero, Charles Harbutt, Joan Lifftin, Byron Brauchli, Adriana Lestido, Alberto García Alix, Nicolás Combarro, Donna Ferrato, Marco Antonio Cruz, Elsa Medina, Raúl Cañibano, and Antonio Turok, among others.

Reyes has documented environmental and nature conservation topics as he has worked with international organizations like the Forest Stewardship Council FSC in Germany, Poland, Malaysia, and Mexico.

He is a member of the National System of Art Creators (2020-2023).
