I am a street photographer based in Kolkata India, also a Fujifilm India X ambassador and member of Unexposed Collective, a community for female street photographers.
Recently my first solo exhibition was held in New York City organised by Women Street photographers in collaboration with the Leica Women Photo project. A set of photographs were exhibited as part of “We Are Here: Scenes from the Streets” a unique street photography exhibition by prestigious ICP (International Center of Photography).
My works have been part of many prestigious publications like Lensculture, Streetphotographersfoundation, 121clicks, ProgresFestival Magazine, Edge of Humanity, ThemFrames ,The Guardian, Aperture, Financial Times International, Up Photographers, FujiLove Magazine, etc .
I have been part of many exhibitions worldwide.
As a street photographer I always look for good light but light alone cannot create a well defined story. Content is very important for me to convey a story and humans play a key role here. Street photography is a solo journey for me and it helps to understand oneself. It is a journey inwards rather than outwards.
