MXSPF 2023 Contest - Terms and conditions
General terms and conditions of the festival
Physical attendees
Virtual assistants
  • You must be over 18 years old to participate in the contest.
  • The photographs you submit for the contest will remain your intellectual property and you will retain the copyright over them.
  • By submitting your photographs for the contest, you are authorizing the MX Street Photo Fest (MXSPF) to:
    • Print and display your work as part of the “International Street Photography Contest, MXSPF 2023”
    • Use, royalty-free, for public display, distribution, reproduction and creation of derivative works from the submitted photographs, for any purpose, including, but not limited to: advertising and promotion, website, exhibition and commercial products (this includes any sale of products that use the photograph), content creation for dissemination, etc.
    • The Festival will not be obliged to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in relation to the aforementioned uses.
  • The Festival disclaims any improper use by third parties unrelated to the organization of the festival, of the photographs submitted to the contest.
  • It is the responsibility of the participants to check that their photographs meet the entry requirements.
  • Photographs that do not have the characteristics indicated in the call will be automatically discarded, without liability for the Festival and without obligation to notify the author.
  • If you send more photos than the number of “entries” purchased, only the photos that correspond to the number of “entries” based on the file name numbering in ascending order will be considered.
    • Ej. For example, if you purchase package 3 (6 photos) but register and send 7 photos, only the first 6 photos that correspond to the numbering 01, 02, 03, 04, 05 and 06 will be evaluated.
    • The excess photos will be automatically disqualified.
  • Once the exhibition is over, the prints of the 20 selected photos can be sent to their respective authors, under the following conditions:
    • The author must pay for the shipping costs.
    • The Festival is not responsible for any problem or anomaly during the shipment of the photos due to the following reasons:
      • Damage or mistreatment of the work by the courier service.
      • Loss of the work by the courier service.
      • Error in the shipping data provided by the author.
    • The shipment of the photos will take place from December 10, 2023.
  • The delivery of the prizes to the top 3 winners is subject to the following terms and conditions:

    • About the first place prize:

      •  

        The prize will be a Ricoh GR III standard version camera and will be sponsored by the MX Street Photo Fest.

      • The acquisition and shipment of the camera will be carried out at the festival’s logistical convenience prior agreement with the winner of the prize.

      • The amount of the prize is not exchangeable for cash, nor can it be deposited / transferred, except with the consent of the festival prior agreement with the person who wins.

    • About the second place prize:

      • The prize is sponsored by Tecno Planet Mexico.

      • The amount corresponding to the prize is $ 12,000 mxn (twelve thousand Mexican pesos) in virtual discount credit coupon format for exclusive use in the Tecno Planet Mexico store.

      • The amount of the prize is not exchangeable for cash, nor can it be deposited / transferred.

      • Tecno Planet Mexico does not make international shipments. In case the winner has a foreign address, he / she must choose a shipping address within the Mexican Republic. If this is not possible, then an agreement can be made with the festival to agree on the ideal procedure and logistics to make the prize valid.

    • About the third place prize:

      • The prize will be a Zhiyun Crane M3 stabilizer and will be sponsored by Fujifilm Mexico.

      • Fujifilm Mexico does not make international shipments, so in case the winner has a foreign address, he / she must choose a shipping address within the Mexican Republic. If this is not possible, then an agreement can be made with the festival to agree on the ideal procedure and logistics to make the prize valid.

    • The Festival is not responsible for any problem or anomaly during the delivery of the prizes due to the following reasons:
      • Damage or mistreatment by the courier service.
      • Loss by the courier service.
      • Error in the shipping data provided by the author.
    • The delivery of the prizes will start from November 15, 2023
  • The dates and deadlines established in this call are subject to change without prior notice.
  • The Festival may document in photography, audio and video the activities, attendance and participation of physical and virtual attendees, for advertising, dissemination and documentary purposes.
    • The dates, times, venues and events of the MXSFP activity program are subject to change without prior notice.
  • The photographs presented in the MXSFP exhibitions are the intellectual property of their respective authors.
  • The photographs presented in the MXSPF exhibitions may be used for advertising and dissemination purposes of the current year’s festival and up to three more editions, respecting at all times the authorship of each image.
  • The Festival disclaims any responsibility arising from the inappropriate conduct of physical or virtual attendees.
  • Access to the exhibitions, conferences, workshops and Photowalks of the MXSFP are free of charge except where otherwise indicated.
  • Access to the activities within the framework of the festival is free, having as the only restrictions those corresponding to the indications of the administrative area of the respective venues.
  • The Festival disclaims any responsibility for any incident or access restriction determined by the administrative staff of the venues.
  • It is strictly forbidden to reproduce in whole or in part, for profit, the images that are part of the three exhibitions of the MXSPF, both printed and digital resources on web page, social networks, etc.
  • The Festival reserves the right to take legal action in case of infringement of copyright by the spectator.
  • El Festival se reserva el derecho de tomar acciones legales en caso de maltrato, robo o vandalismo de las obras expuestas.
  • The Festival reserves the right to admit and retain spectators in the virtual rooms for the streaming of the activities.
  • In case there is a possibility of interaction between virtual assistants and speakers, the mechanism and rules of communication will be moderated by the Festival. We invite you to behave respectfully at all times.
  • The recording of audio and video of the streaming is strictly prohibited.
  • The Festival reserves the right to take legal action in case of recording and reproduction of the streaming content of the activities, in whole or in part.
  • The Festival reserves the right to use the media, platforms, formats and logistical decisions that it considers prudent for a proper development of the transmissions.
  • The Festival is not responsible for technical failures and problems arising from causes beyond the organizers’ control.
