FotoNaratón:
10 years
The FotoNaratón Iberoamericana is an annual street photography event that brings together thousands of people to go out and take photos on the same day in different cities across the region. It was founded on a clear premise: to transform individual practice into a collective experience and to promote the reclamation of public spaces through imagery.
Over the course of ten editions, FotoNaratón has established itself as the largest simultaneous photography event in Ibero-America, made possible by the work of local coordinators and a constantly growing community.
For each edition, the selection of the 20 winning photographs was carried out by a jury composed of three leading figures in the field of photography, who were specially invited to serve on the panel.
Their selection was based on a shortlist of 200 finalist images, chosen from among thousands of photographs submitted to Nacho Marlats and the Los Fotonautas team.

Anthology of Latin American Street Photography
The street is one of the great stages of Latin American life: a space for encounters, tension, improvisation, and memory. This exhibition brings together perspectives that explore this living space where the personal and the collective are constantly intertwined.
Far from seeking a single definition of the region, the images gathered here trace an open cartography of Latin America through the everyday: fleeting gestures, unexpected coincidences, moments when reality reveals its most human side. In these photographs, the street ceases to be a backdrop and becomes the protagonist: a place where social dynamics, urban contradictions, and the ways we inhabit our cities are brought to light.
Every image is an act of attention. A moment when someone decided to pause and take a closer look at something that usually goes unnoticed.
Together, these photographs form a sensitive archive of our time. A visual memory in motion that speaks to who we are, how we inhabit public spaces, and how we identify ourselves as a region.
Graciela Magnoni, Gustavo Minas, and Ximena Echagüe.
